2019 Wedding Dress trends for your Ireland Wedding

I am very excited about the Wedding Dress Trends for 2019 according to Vogue. We have a lot to look forward to, from feathers to colour pops to mini’s. I am loving the new looks hitting the catwalks! Importantly, there are plenty of looks to dream about as you plan your Ireland Wedding.

Here is a very quick look at some of my favourite trends that I cannot wait to see more of. As I currently put together a Style & Design board for a 2019 Ireland Wedding, I am really looking forward to seeing how the trends play out.

The mini

I really love the shorter look because it is so different and it allows you to be more creative with your shoes. I fell in love after seeing this stunning creation from Suzanne Neville. A really beautiful gown, with a very simple train. This would be perfect if we get another fabulous summer like this year.

The Meghan Markle effect

We are still seeing a lot of dress styles influenced by Kate Midleton in 2011, so I can imagine that the Meghan Markle style will linger for a while. I won’t complain, I really loved the simplicity of her gown.  Stella McCartney has just launched her bridal collection ‘Made with love’ and here is a photo of her simple, elegant Ruby gown.

Let’s see some colour

I love a pop of colour as part of the Wedding Dress. I still lust after this one that I shared recently on my Instagram, by Sweet Caroline Styles. We never want to say goodbye to this fabulous colour and floaty skirt. Photo by @juliepaisleyphotography

Statement Sleeves

If it intrigues you, you have to try it. You might just be surprised. Lots of designers are opting for a puffed sleeve look, and I love the sheer sleeve that is taking over. Look at this fabulous creation below by Galia Lahav, photo by Samantha Annis.

But, it is not about staying on trend, it is about finding something that is right for you. We will forever see the traditional wedding dresses, veils and trains, which we continue to love.
